I cannot express how important a skin routine is! No amount of foundation and highlighter in the world will give you a natural glow like good skin. A balanced diet, 8 cups of water and a regular work out will most definitely help, but a good set of creams can quite simply be magic after a rough night. I have had received a tonne of messages about what my skincare routine is, so I want to explain to you systematically what I do. I hope you love them just as much as I do!
1. Clean and Clear Morning Burst Exfoliator 
I start off my routine using my fav exfoliator to remove all my makeup. It is infused with Vitamin C and Ginseng (anti-ageing ingredient), and bursting beads that open during exfoliating, helping to nourish the skin!
2. Clinique Clarifying Lotion (2: Dry Combination Skin)
Wherever I go, I have to take my Clinique Clarifying Lotion (2: Dry Combination Skin) with me, to ensure that I take all of my makeup off. I use it straight after I have washed my face and am shocked every single time at how much makeup I still have on my face post-exfoliating.
3. Clinique ‘All About Eyes’ Cream
After I’ve made sure all my makeup is off, I use my Clinique ‘All About Eyes’ eye cream with my ring finger using a gentle patting motion. It is a really rich formula developed to deliver intense hydration and soothe the delicate eye area. Since all my sisters use it, I know that it is suitable for all skin types. The reason why I love this cream is because it is infused with botanical ingredients to reduce puffiness, dark circles and fine lines, whilst boosting natural collagen production for revitalised, brighter eyes.
4. Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum
Ladies, we need to start young with the anti-wrinkle cream! My mum has the best skin because she started so young and this pre-emptive care has inspired me to ensure that I care for my skin in the same way. Their is a reason why the Advanced Night Repair Serum is one of Estee Lauder’s best selling skincare products. It reduces all signs of ageing and most importantly gets rid of the haggard look many people have due to the daily stresses of life becoming apparent on their skin. Be sure to use your serum before your moisturiser, many people get this wrong and it becomes counterproductive.
5. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Night Cream Moisturiser
Charlotte Tilbury refers to her Magic Cream as “an anti-ageing, youth-boosting wonder cream-elixir…simply massage this ‘overnight facial’ into face and neck, then wake up with a ‘film star’ glow the next morning”. YASS Charlotte, I vouch for you! I have slept with my skin looking SH*T and woke with fresh, glowing skin…despite a bad night sleep. It is ideal to use before a big appearance, date, fashion show because its ingredients retinol and bionymph peptides boost the essential collagen that we need for our skin to feel #flawless.
6. Mario Badescu Facial Spray
To finish off my routine, I use the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe Herbs & Rosewater as a hydrating mist. I rotate between this Rosewater one and the Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea – its the perfect spritz for hydration. Due to my love for rose water and the way it makes my skin feel, I do prefer this one.
7. 24k Rose Gold Elixir
Once a week I wear the Farsali 24k Rose Gold Elixir, which is suitable for all skin types and makes me feel extremely fresh after use. With the 24K Gold flakes absorbing straight into your skin, and the oil rich in Rosehip seed oil which is high in linoleic and linolenic acids, vitamin C, and vitamin A (retinol), your skin is getting all the vital ingredients for the very best healthy looking skin. I have found that it has also helped get rid of my pigmentation and some of my scarring from teenage spots.
Kudos to all these creams that I simply cannot go a day without. While these creams are in the higher price range, I have discovered many high street brand alternatives that I believe do just as good as a job – let me know if you would like to see a blog post on this. Have a great day!
