I had the pleasure of working with one of Malaysia’s most influential fashionistas Tiffanee Marie Lim, Fashion Club Creative Director and Limkokwing Associate Vice President and full time #BOSSLADY during Fashion Week SS18. The reason why I chose to work with this brand is because it is a brand by students for students. Limkokwing Fashion Club has taken the world by storm through immaculate creations inspired and designed by students from 165 countries for fashion lovers all over the world. It features an exciting combination of an urban flair with various ethnic influences, presenting a fun and glamorous take on the biggest international trends in the fashion industry. Her motto is “putting their practical skills to test, students of the university are encouraged to rise to every occasion and meet the needs and wants of the current generation.”

The show was hosted by Fashion Scout, with the hair created by Toni & Guy Session Team using label.m professional haircare directed by Jon Wilsdon, complimented by the make-up sponsor Kryolan professional makeup. With the show to start in 4 hours, hair and makeup began. With every makeup artist slaying an edgy look on the models, with a sultry bold lip, the show’s themes of love and romance were all coming to life. Meanwhile, the hair was styled in Chinese style double buns with sticks. High fashion with an edge of street style and sass reached every corner of the room – I was in my element.

Hair and makeup at an immediate halt, rehearsals called! With lighting and production in check, models walking the walk and Tiffanee and her team making attentive changes to provide the best show for those that made the guest list. The models were instructed to walk with pride, slowly and ‘as if their biggest crush was waiting for them at the end of the runway’. We all know who I would have in mind #champagnepapi.

Amongst the FROW (Front Row), elites from all over the world attended, with the High Commissioner of Lesotho, Monaco, Botswana and Swaziland admiring the opulence in diversity that Limkokwing Fashion Club presents. Every single person in the audience witnessed a showcase of the best of Asian and African cultures and was stunned with what the brand offers.

Kudos to Tiffanee, her team and the international students who collectively created Limkokwing Fashion Club. It is my new go to for outfits that stand out from the crowd. Each piece carries the charm and sleek edge of contemporary fashion that truly reflects what it takes to be the best in fashion, a trend setter, and a fashion icon of tomorrow.

My outfit was inspired by the Bosslady herself. I wore a Tuxido Jumpsuit by Faith Connexion, Code: W1519T00049 (£899).
